Our Amazing Lettuce!

Back in 1996 we were regularly growing Little Farm lettuce heads in 18-20 days from radionically balanced seedlings. We were doing this all summer, through the Utah heat (over 100 degrees) in July and August.

There was no question in my mind that radionic tuning balanced the plants and cleared stress. There was a double bonus because everything tasted so good, and people remembered that good taste!

One of the hallmarks of Little Farm Apprentice Program, 1991-2010, was our cash crop salad greens. We sold lettuce to a number of local restaurants and markets. It was part of the "pay" for our hardworking apprentices. Each week, if the youngster was faithful in putting in 6 hours in the Apprentice Program, they would receive a bag of fresh greens.

Using radionic support our lettuce production was amazing! We could cut 20-25 pounds of mesclun (mixed baby lettuce) from a 50 square foot bed, and we could harvest that same bed at lease three times before starting over. That is over 120 pounds of lettuce. We would put it into 1/2 pound bags, sell for $3-$5 each. That means we would make $700-800/bed in about 6 weeks time. This was how we supported the cash flow at Little Farm.

The kids learned many gardening and marketing skills over the six week program and we had a Family Day with contests around the skills they had learned.

I am still learning things about the subtle fields of soil and monocrop plantings from growing lettuce . . .
